Can​`​t call it love

Can’t Call it Love” was written by Matt Mocharnuk and Marcel Agterhuis. Funny story with this one. Marcel and I have worked together for over a decade. We’ve written original songs and done a bunch of Duran covers. Every now and then Marcel will do remixes of Bittersweet Machines songs. On this occasion Marcel asked to do a remix of “All for Nothing” from my 2022 EP (Sci-Fi Daydream). I was so impressed with the instrumental framework that he had constructed - it really felt like it needed to be used for something more than just a remix. It felt to me like it wanted and deserved to be its own thing so I asked Marcel if I could take a crack at turning it into a new, original song. The result is “Can’t Call it Love”.

Marcel and I first became acquainted through our shared love of Duran Duran, so with that in mind, I have also included our extended cover of "Secret Oktober".
